Theatre Hullabaloo, the children’s arts charity based in Darlington, are celebrating the arrival of Spring with some special seed packs for local nursery children to plant at home over the Easter break.
A new version of the classic tale of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ is also included in the packs so that the children have a story to read whilst they are waiting for their magic beans to sprout!
Sarah Churlish, Programme Co-ordinator at Theatre Hullabaloo, says “Now that spring is finally here, it’s the perfect time to get planting. One of my favourite childhood memories is drawing a face on an empty egg shell, planting cress seeds in it and watching it grow into big green hair. Although The Hullabaloo remains temporarily closed still, we hope these seed packs will help local children make some magic happen at home on their own window sills’
